Fun Foods

From starting production in a meagre 300 square feet unit, the company has grown big enough to add a gigantic 50,000 square feel production plant in Uttaranchal. The beginning of the company was also fun-filled, informs the founder and Managing Director of the company, Rajiv Bahl, who initially was a Captain in the Indian Navy. The idea of Fun Foods occurred to him at a casual talk over dinner and drinks with his colleagues, when one of them pointed out a fact that no Indian company was present in the processed food segment. He elaborates, “Estimating the potential of the western processed food market – where no big players from homeland ever dared to foray – was adequate to enter this domain.”

World

Indeed, like he mentioned, the Catholic Cathedral, the Al Khulafa Al Rashiudin Mosque and the Nda Mariam Coptic Cathedral are the Asmarinos’ prefectures of pride and praise. Off the subject maybe, but I felt a sudden surge of gratitude for this thing called travel that is probably the simplest means to learning and more importantly, unlearning… The drive from the current capital to the former capital of Eritrea – Massawa – ought to be an itinerary agenda by itself. Such was the passage through panoramic precincts in Semhar province tiding many a twist and curve in an exhilarating getaway to the largest Eritrean port by the Red Sea. “While the Italians chose to shift capital to Asmara, this port city remained testimony to the grandeur and greed that trade tags along with it.”

IIPM's Asian campuses focus on various academic programs, namely, Full time and Integrated Programme in National Economic Planning and Entrepreneurship, Fellowship programs and on specific management training programs. Whether for academic programs or for management training sessions across all its campuses, IIPM provides hostel accommodation for students and participants from various parts of the world. This adds phenomenally to group learning experiences, sustained by round the clock faculty interaction.

Upward Swing in Gold Prices

The weakening of rupee and non-availability of pepper outside the exchange resulted in the prices of this sibling of salt zooming up to Rs.7,150 from Rs.6,850 per unit (per 10 tonne) on June 26. Delhi Trade Forum’s Rathod further blames futures trading for the upward swing in gold prices from Rs.6,200 six months ago to Rs.11,500 per 10 grams last month, and silver from Rs.12,200 per kg to Rs.19,800. There are also allegations of some tainted stock market players like Ketan Parekh manipulating the commodity market to book heavy profits. The NCDEX Managing Director P. H. Ravi Kumar denies this. In any case the exchange itself imposes margins to ward off speculators. Recently, NCDEX imposed a margin of 45% on urad dal and 18.5% on tur dal to discourage speculators. Trading on mentha oil had to be suspended for sometime on July 9, “In view of very high volatility,” said another NCDEX official. But, other exchanges don’t put up such stringent safeguards. The basic issue now is how to strengthen the commodity regulator and speed up the physical delivery system.

With this grandiose measure, Rene Scicluna, the man behind the mission, hopes to bring back the talisman of a celebrated Maltese past. Hawking history with the high fliers, are we?

IIPM:- Canti Sena Foundation

But the opposition gave way to community support and help, leading to the realisation of the most positive potentialities of the experiment. The Canti Sena Foundation claims to bring holistic development of the child by making schooling a happy adventure for children, banking on their creativity and inventiveness. In the poverty stricken population of the island, this experiment has been a most cost effective option. In the strife-torn provinces of Indonesia, this experiment could go a long way in creating a non-violent human community as a counter to the simmering violence driven insurgency. Could India learn?
