HCL is now a new entrant to this list of defamed companies. Bad publicity of course is the most apparent fall out. Moreover, if all companies slowly start falling in line, there could be pressure on Indian government to ensure compliance for Indian manufacturers. Certainly HCL has to take a proactive approach to clean up its act.
