Accentuating disease burden is a drag upon economic growth

Deplorable health standards, onslaught of terminal diseases and falling productivity of health workers in Tanzania, indicate how it has been ineffective in translating health expenditure for public good. With a per capita income of $280, 30% of population survives on less than $1 a day. Over and above this, 0.7mn has been living with AIDS.
